Maciah Long played big boy high school football in Houston, and judging by his offer list it definitely seems he excelled. It's not often Kansas gets a recruit over Ohio State, UCLA and Arizona State, so this could be a player to keep an eye on. With Kyron Watson never living up to the hype, there's an opening at inside linebacker on this team, and at 6'2, 230 pounds, Long may have the body and the skills to crack the two-deep as a true freshman.

Long has excellent athleticism, playing both offense (QB) and defense (LB) in high school, but is projected by most scouting services as a Linebacker at the college level.
