Evan Fairs Hudl

The son of former Memphis and NFL linebacker Eric Fairs, Evan was originally a Maryland commit up until their coaching staff was sent packing.  Evan re-opened his recruitment in mid-January and David Beaty was all over it.  According to most recruiting services, Fairs narrowed it down to Kansas and Illinois before finally picking the Jayhawks on Jan 31.

Fairs will join the competition for playing time at WR, and will no doubt have to #EarnIt if he is to see the field in his freshman year.  It makes sense to think that Fairs will be given every opportunity to make an early impact, as he has the size and speed that coaches love.

Fairs could be considered a bit of a recruiting coup for the Jayhawks.  A tall, lanky, athletic three-star WR prospect, Fairs had plenty of other offers before finally settling on KU and David Beaty's Air-Raid offense over Maryland and Illinois.
