Podcast: Kansas Offense scoring at a record pace

I’m joined by Jesse Newell and Steve to talk about this outstanding basketball team.

NCAA Basketball: Toledo at Kansas Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas Jayhawks have been outperforming every other team in college basketball, ranking #1 on KenPom by nearly a full point on Adjusted Efficiency Margin. To celebrate episode number 50 of the podcast, I invited Jesse Newell to join us and talk about this phenomenal team.

Today’s episode is about 12 hours earlier than normal, but that’s to make way for the special episode coming tomorrow night. I will be previewing the game against Syracuse with someone from Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician, and talking KU Volleyball and Women’s Basketball with friend of the site Jill Hall. Make sure you tune in for that special episode.

Topics discussed:

-Have you ever seen an offense like the one for Kansas this year?

-Is the defense really this good?

-Kansas doesn't get to the line very often.

-Can the defense continue to turn teams over at this pace?

-KU "Small Ball" isn't that small.

-Marcus Garrett is a surprising glue guy

-Udoka Azubuike's rebounding numbers are backwards

-How effective will the Syracuse zone be against the Jayhawks?

-Previewing the overall matchup for Saturday.

-Is there a legitimate reason to keep Zenger and Beaty?
