Big 12 Power Rankings - 11/24/14

After a weekend of seeing just about everything, how different do the rankings look?

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

This week we saw pretty much everything possible in the league this week. But with so much going on, it was hard for anyone to make any headway.  Where did everyone end up?

1. Baylor

The game against Oklahoma State was closer than expected, but they still won handily.  No reason to penalize them for winning by "only" 3 touchdowns.

2. TCU

Bye week gave them time to look back and hope for carnage.  Unfortunately, it didn't come, and so they sit still this week.

3. Kansas State

They got a big road win against West Virginia, and now they hope to come home and take it to their in-state rival this week.

4. Oklahoma

A record setting day for Perine shows this team is back to normal, and now they get the week off to get ready for Oklahoma State.

5. Texas

On a bye, they had plenty of time to prepare for TCU coming up on Thursday.  They've been on a roll recently, and this is their shot to get an invite to a decent bowl game.

6. West Virginia

After a devastating late loss to Kansas State, they need to finish strong in the finale against Iowa State if they want to ensure an invite to a decent bowl game.  Iowa State has been tough at home, so this won't necessarily by easy.

7. Texas Tech

Already eliminated from bowl contention, Tech is looking to finish the season strong.  They started with a hard-fought win against Iowa State last week, and look to try to play spoiler when they host Baylor this week.

8. Oklahoma State

They have a bye this week to prepare for their last chance to gain bowl eligibility.  Oklahoma won't make it easy for them, but they showed some progress against Baylor, so they may have a chance.

9. Kansas

Well that sucked.  All the good vibes they had generated were trampled by Perine during that miserable game.  The only reason they stay above Iowa State is because they beat them.

10. Iowa State

They put up a good fight against Texas Tech at home, but as has been the case all year long, they weren't able to get it done.  They get their last chance at home against West Virginia this week.
