The Kansas senior middle linebacker has shaved his famous beard and will have a new look when the Jayhawks take the field for Saturday’s 3 p.m. Sunflower Showdown against No. 11 Kansas State at Bill Snyder Family Stadium."I just kind of want to play a game without it and see what happens. I’m not just a beard, I’m also a human being," Heeney said with a laugh.

But regardless of the personnel, the talent level or the makeup of his roster, coach Bill Snyder, now in his 23rd season at KSU, always has managed to field teams that play the same style of football.
