HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Looks like the OT from last night was a complete flop, but don't worry, we have plenty of links to look at today.

Better every day: After relaxing break, KU freshman Embiid all about improvement | KUsports.com

"It’s surprising that he can be as good as he is this soon if you don’t know him. But if you watch him every day, nothing surprises you," Self said. "The kid can do anything. He’s smart, and he’s a sponge. Now, that does not translate to him playing well, not at all. He’s going to have games where he has six points and four rebounds, and he’ll have games where he gets 20 and 12, and a lot of that is just experience and knowing how to plug himself into the game and stuff like that.

Keyla Morgan solid in first stretch as starting guard for KU women | KUsports.com

A 5-foot-8 former four-year prep starter at Long Beach Poly High in Rancho Dominguez, Calif., Morgan made a name for herself early in her career by being one of the players Henrickson could count on to bring energy off the bench. After playing just eight combined minutes in her first two appearances of the season, the player who led her high school team to a state championship earlier this year saw her time on the floor jump with 16 minutes in a loss to No. 2 Duke in the Virgin Islands. In the five games since then, Morgan has not played fewer than 21 minutes and made all four of her starts.

On Tuesday, Oklahoma State announced that Cobbins would have surgery on his left Achilles and miss the rest of the season, according to the Tulsa World.

The 20 most clicked on KU sports stories of 2013 | All Eyes on KU | KUsports.com

One of the biggest surprises in looking back at the traffic from the past 365 days was the fact that the Rio Adams saga — should I stay or should I go – produced four of the top 20 most read stories on our site. As a whole, that one topic was responsible for more than 82,000 pageviews. Seems strange for a guy who scored just 27 points in 24 games during his lone year at Kansas and now isn't playing Div. I ball at all.
