And basketball season has officially started.  I know I should be excited, but this lengthening of the schedule seems a lot like Christmas Creep to me.  If you think of Late Night as our Black Friday moment, then this new extended time period of practice before it seems like putting Christmas displays in stores the day after Halloween.

It will be interesting to see how Embiid develops.  If he takes off and plays fantastic, we will likely play for a national championship. If he takes a bit of time to put it all together, we could be set up pretty nicely for the next season or two after this one.

This seems par for the course for this kid.  Other than his play on the court, everything about him screams "I'm great, but it's not all about me."
