The Kansas Jayhawks mauled the Oklahoma Sooners 78-66 in a bounce back game after KU lost to UCF earlier in the week. OU was able to keep the game close in the first half but a strong second half performance put the Sooners away to seal the win for the good guys.
Kansas jumped out to an early lead and led by as much as 9 in the first half before a strong comeback from OU brought that down to a 1 point Kansas lead at halftime.
The Jayhawks were led by the usual one two punch of Dickinson and McCullar with 24 and 21 points respectively. KJ Adams slammed home 15 points and in his first career start as a Jayhawk, future NBA player Johnny Furphy had 7.
Sophomore guard Milos Uzan led the Sooners with 15 points. Oklahoma, who was looking for their first AFH win since Bill Clinton was in office, will have to wait a bit longer as this will be their final game in Lawrence for the foreseeable future.
Kansas will travel to Stillwater next Tuesday to take on the Cowboys.
