NCAA Basketball: UMKC at Kansas Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas Jayhawks mauled the Kansas City Roos 88-69 Tuesday night in Allen Fieldhouse. After a strong start, the Jayhawks took the foot off the gas a little bit allowing the Roos to come with 8 points at the end of the gain. Kevin McCullar Jr scored 25 points on 2-2 three point shooting to secure the win for the Jayhawks.

KJ Adams Jr. coming off a strong performance against UConn Friday night, kept it up with 18 points. Adams went 6 for 10 from the free throw. Freshman guard Johnny Furphy gave KU good minutes scoring 10 while going 50% from the three point line.

AFH will surely be rocking for the Jayhawks’ next game as the Missouri Tigers come to town. Thomas Robinson will have his jersey retired at halftime.
