The Kansas Jayhawks absolutely manhandled the Cincinnati Bearcats with a 49-16 win to end the regular season 8-4. Jason Bean was back at quarterback after missing last week’s game due to injury. Bean threw for 250 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a 50 yard TD run along with another TD run earlier in the game. Jalon Daniels, who has been out for the majority of the season, was seen in full pads on the sideline. This raises the question of who will start in the upcoming bowl game with Daniels seemingly ready to return to play.

The KU running backs really were the stars of the show today with 312 total yards and 5 touchdowns. Jason Bean lead all rushers with 90 yards.

Cobee Bryant had an insane one handed interception, which you will likely see on the Sportscenter Top 10 later on tonight.

Elsewhere on the broadcast, viewers were treated to not one, not two, but THREE separate segments of the broadcasters eating Skyline Chili live on air. Note to ESPN, no one needs to see this ever again.

Kansas will await to learn where and who they will play in their bowl game. Regardless of what happens in the bowl game, this season has been a resounding success. To go 8-4 for the first time since 2008, largely without the preseason player of the year, is a feat no Kansas fan should take for granted. They just blew out a conference opponent on the road too. Kansas is the real deal and those of us who sat through a decade plus of bad football should be celebrating the hardest right now.
