The Jayhawks (30-26) broke a tie in the top of the eighth, just half a frame after a Horned Frog (39-15) rally knotted the game up, 3-3. Sophomore left fielder Devin Foyle drove in the go-ahead RBI that sparked the four-run rally off TCU relief ace Sean Wymer (4-4), who picked up his fourth loss of the season.

Kansas (30-26) upset the No. 6-ranked and No. 2 seeded TCU Horned Frogs, 7-3, Wednesday afternoon in its first game of the tournament. Texas (35-20) followed suit and defeated No. 3 seed Oklahoma in the night cap, 8-4, to move on to the second round.

IRS starts sending refunds to those who overpaid taxes on unemployment benefits - CBS News
Under the American Rescue Plan, workers who received $10,200 or less in unemployment benefits last year don't have to pay taxes on that money, as they normally would. However, Congress passed the law change in March, after millions of people had already filed their tax returns. As many as 10 million people potentially overpaid their taxes and could be in line for refunds, the IRS said Friday.

Daniels allegedly bought large quantities of meth from Leon Paul Kavis, who pleaded guilty to federal drug charges in March. Prosecutors in that case connected Kavis to the Aryan Brotherhood, a notorious white supremacist prison gang that was taken down by federal agents around the time Kavis and another associate were arrested in Missoula.
