Report: Four coaches getting most attention in Kansas coaching search
The Kansas Jayhawks have been without a head football coach for almost two months after parting ways with Les Miles March 8, but they could be close to a new hire. According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, Buffalo’s Lance Leipold, Army’s Jeff Monken, Louisiana Tech’s Skip Holtz and Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mike Elko are the four names that have received the most attention for the job. CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd has since confirmed Rittenberg’s report, listing all four of those names and adding that Leipold and Monken are the favorites. Dodd believes there could be a decision that comes in the next 24-48 hours.
