The Rock Chalkboard

Photo gallery: KU basketball takes down No. 2 Baylor on senior day
KU basketball ended Baylor's run at perfection on Saturday. The Jayhawks took down the No. 2 Bears on senior day, winning 71-58 behind a 20-point eruption from David McCormack and big performance on the boards from Jalen Wilson.

Emphatic block highlights David McCormack's eruption vs. No. 2 Baylor
"I was like, 'This is the moment that I need to send this to the third row,'" recalled McCormack. "The exclamation point was the stare-down to tell him to get out of here. Nothing was coming easy, even at the end of the game."

Three takeaways: Reviewing KU basketball's win vs. Baylor
Lightfoot didn’t light up the box score on Saturday, but he contributed in a handful of areas that ultimately pushed the Jayhawks to victory. Though his teammate David McCormack shouldered a heavy load on offense, scoring 20 points on 10 shots with three blocks, Lightfoot held his own when McCormack was on the bench.

"I love y'all," he responded, later speaking on the moment in his post-game media session. "It sounds pretty good."

KU basketball vs. Baylor: Who stood out and who didn't...
McCormack didn’t rebound like he’s capable of, but the rebounding numbers were somewhat misleading. He earned KU possessions in other ways, such as forcing a held ball or taking his man out of the picture on a rebounding attempt and allowing one of the KU guards to go up and get the ball. But if you’d have a criticism of McCormack, that’d be where it would lie — because his game was pretty darn good otherwise.

Bill Self: KU basketball 'on an uptick' as March begins
This is newfound territory for KU basketball (18-8, 12-6 Big 12). Typically, the Jayhawks, under Bill Self, have entered the postseason with a No. 1 or No. 2 seed all-but locked up. If that feels like hyperbole, consider the following:

The Drive: What to make of KU basketball's win over No. 2 Baylor
The 15th season of The Drive continues following KU basketball's upset win over No. 2 Baylor on Saturday. The Jayhawks are now projected in the No. 3-4 seed range for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Basketball Snap Judgments and Big 12 Power Rankings
This was supposed to be the final week of the regular season for the Big 12 Conference. However, with so many postponements and cancellations, the league leaders stepped in, made some adjustments, and there are games for most everybody next week. Still, the games played this week - two or three contests, depending on the program - were vital in not only seeding for the conference tournament, but also the NCAA Tournament. Now that it's Sunday, it seems like now is as good a time as any to release our next edition of snap judgments and Actually Accomplished Rankings of the year. First, we'll give a rundown of each team, what happened since our last update, and what's up next on the schedule.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Rumor Shares Bad News About Release Date
Nintendo finally talked about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 during the recent Nintendo Direct. However, rather than reveal our first look at gameplay or announce a release date, Nintendo showed nothing and asked Zelda fans for more patience. When is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 release date? We don't know. When are we going to see more of the game? We don't know. Is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 its actual title? We don't know. We know next to nothing about the Switch and Switch Lite game, and according to one new rumor, this may be because unlike what many think and what other rumors have suggested, the game isn't releasing this year.
