It’s the first of October, which clearly means it’s time for... basketball? Whatever. I mean, I guess... if you’re into that sort of thing...

Anyway, the Jayhawks will hold their annual Not So Late Night in the Phog this evening. Festivities started on the AFH lawn at 11 AM this morning, and the doors to the fieldhouse opened to the public at 5 PM.

From KU Athletics:

Late Night in the Phog will feature music by the KU pep band, routines from KU’s spirit squad and dance teams, skits by both men’s and women’s basketball teams, video highlights from KU’s award-winning Rock Chalk Video department, coach and player introductions, and scrimmages. Legendary artists and Grammy Award winners RUN-DMC will conclude the night’s festivities with a special performance on James Naismith Court.

HOW TO WATCH

If you aren’t already there, the events will be televised on ESPN+ aka Big 12 Now (subscription required). On the call will be Brian Hanni and Greg Gurley. It will also be carried on KU Athletics cable partners throughout the state of Kansas, including Spectrum Sports and Cox, so check your local listings.

The program begins at 6:30 PM local time.
