8 Days Until Kansas Football: Depth Chart Predictions

As the countdown prepares for the final week, we start to put it all together.

I haven’t seen any depth charts released by KU yet, so this will be mostly conjecture. I also probably haven’t read everything by every beat writer, so if you’ve seen something that I’ve missed, let me know in the comments and we’ll get it fixed!

I thought it would be nice to get all of the depth chart predictions from the last three months in one place.

One thing to note is that Les Miles apparently has no plans to identify the starting quarterback until gameday, so your guess is as good as mine.

Let’s take a look.

Again, that’s my best guess of what we’ve got in Week 1 against Coastal Carolina. This has been updated for the departure of SR OL Antione Frazier.

Despite a plethora of juniors and seniors up and down the projected first-string, Kansas will be the least experienced program in the Big 12 per S&P+. Mostly, it’s simply a matter of upperclassmen moving into starting roles without much, or any, starting experience.

Kansas will be underdogs every week after Coastal Carolina, and that game is hardly a gimme if you go by the numbers (KU was an initial 3-point favorite).

We’ll have a football feature every day counting down the final week until gameday, but note - SMU and TCU have already postponed their Sept 11 date due to a Covid outbreak with TCU.
