A complete breakdown of KU football's 2020 schedule
For Kansas, this would indicate that games against New Hampshire (Sep. 5), Boston College (Sep. 19), and Coastal Carolina (Sep. 26) could be wiped from the calendar and the Jayhawks would be tasked with an entire slate of Big 12 opponents. KU is 7-90 in Big 12 play dating back to 2009.

Nonetheless, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby told CBS Sports last Thursday that “it’s a little early” to make any decision regarding the 2020 schedule.

2022 OT Mark Welch 'beyond blessed' to receive KU football offer
"Me and coach Dearmon, we've been talking every week or so," Welch told Phog.net "They've been evaluating my film, and he called me this morning to let me know I had the offer. It was a blessing."

Bill Self pledges support for minority leadership initiative
"We certainly have a ... shortage of minorities — primarily Black [people] — having the same opportunities that whites do in the sports that provide our livelihood, entertainment," Self said in the Star's forum. "We've got to have more opportunities for young people to get involved in our profession. If college basketball is primarily made up of Black kids at a high level that go on and want to play professional sports, basketball, whatever, and then they want to get into coaching, there's not opportunities for those guys to get into coaching now."

Robert Regan closing in on making his decision
“It’s my birthday in September, that’s another reason why I wanted to wait it out a bit and commit then,” Regan said. “It’s not looking like we’ll be able to take any visits though so I’m starting to feel good about what I want to do and I’m going to commit later this week.

What a conference-only slate should look like for Power 5 teams
Conference-only schedules provide the Power 5 conferences and other FBS members flexibility to schedule and, also, the ability to enforce universal protocols across its campuses and athletics departments. Non-conference games would complicate the process, with separate conferences with different testing, quarantine and isolation guidelines also attempting to agree on dates that provide little-to-no-flexibility if postponement is required.

Washington's NFL alumni: Name change doesn't erase history - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN
"We played because that was our job and what we wanted to do," said Williams, the team's current senior vice president of player development. "Players don't come thinking, 'I'm going to play for this slur name.' That's not on their minds. All they know is they're playing in the NFC East and they're playing the Dallas [Cowboys], the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles."

Man flashes gun when told to wear mask at BBQ restaurant | The Kansas City Star
“I asked him if he could wear a mask, since it’s what Gov. Kelly told us to do,” said Kinsey, 18, who was working shifts at the barbecue joint this summer before heading off to college. He had dealt with a handful of customers who refused to wear masks inside the restaurant despite the statewide mandate — but none like this, he said.

The man said he had an exemption to the mask order: He then lifted up his shirt, revealing a gun in a holster on his hip.
