Most memorable KU men's basketball games of the 2019-20 season
For that, there were plenty of memorable moments to look back through over the last year. Here are five games that stood out most to me...

Film Room: Buddy Hield, Frank Mason battle in triple-OT thriller
"As hard as Frank guarded him late," Self began in the KU-OU episode of Self Perspective, "this may be better than what Kevin [Durant] did against us."

PFF ranks KU's Aqib Talib as top-100 NFL player from 2010s
However, there was another former KU player who found his way into the top 101: cornerback Aqib Talib.

Latrell Jossell chooses KU basketball jersey number
Latrell Jossell, a three-star point guard in the 2020 class, will be sporting the No. 4 next year. That number was most recently worn by sharpshooting graduate transfer Isaiah Moss. Before Moss, star point guards Devonte' Graham and Sherron Collins wore the No. 4.

R.J. Jones is among the most talented young safeties out West
This off-season has been a busy one as we have seen more players, who are currently freshman, landing scholarship offers then any other spring. We were curious if camps, 7v7 events and spring sports like track being shut down would decrease the number of offers going out since those are always key parts of the evaluation process.

How former top NBA Draft picks have fared
But not all No. 1 picks are created equal. In some seasons, there's a Hakeem Olajuwon, a Patrick Ewing, a Tim Duncan, a LeBron James or a Zion Williamson that just about everyone feels has separated from the rest of the pack and could restore a franchise to glory. In others, the question of who goes No. 1 produces a much hazier result. And in still other seasons, No. 1 is somewhat clear, but yields simply a very good player, rather than a transformative one.

Ranking NFL QB commitment in 2020 - How married all 32 teams are to their starters
Opinions vary and change, especially when it comes to quarterbacks. So when we want to settle a discussion about how committed each NFL team is to its starter, we have to look at the cold, hard numbers. And I'm not talking about yards or touchdowns or completion percentage. I'm talking about money.

Power 5 conferences ask Congress for college athlete compensation law
The NCAA hopes to have legislative proposals crafted by November and ready to be voted on in January. Even with that, NCAA leaders have acknowledged the need for congressional help and a national standard that would ward off a wave of state-level NIL laws that are in the pipeline.

Bengals' Joe Burrow, Dolphins' Brian Flores among reaction to George Floyd killing
"They have been unheard for far too long," Burrow, the Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 overall draft pick, said Friday on Twitter. "Open your ears, listen, and speak. This isn't politics. This is human rights."

Sources -- NBA board of governors expected to approve Adam Silver's restart plan Thursday
The NBA has been examining several plans for a return to play, but numerous members of the board of governors tell ESPN that there's growing support for a plan to bring 22 teams to Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in July.

College Football Hall of Fame damaged by protesters
Protesters smashed the Hall of Fame's front windows and looted its gift shop during the demonstrations. It was immediately unclear whether the Hall of Fame's museum, which is the home of many of the sport's most notable artifacts and memorabilia, was damaged by looters.

Breonna Taylor protest: Vandalism marks Louisville demonstrations
"This violence and destruction is absolutely unacceptable," he said. "It besmirches any claim to honor Breonna Taylor's memory. ... No one stands up for justice and equality by smashing windows and burning property. This destruction will not be tolerated."

Popeyes ditches its goofy branding for a buttoned-up new look
Popeyes might not have the brand recognition of Burger King or McDonald’s, but some would argue it has something even better: a killer sandwich. After starting the #ChickenSandwichWars last August with the launch of its chicken sandwich, the fast-food chain has been gaining in popularity and quietly overhauling its brand in the meantime.
