The Kansas football team finished with a 3-9 record in 2019, coach Les Miles’ first season with the team. The team ranked 33rd in strength of schedule for 2019 and ranks 35th going into this season according to Phil Steele’s rankings.

The North American sports landscape has virtually been on hiatus across the board since mid-March, and while some circuits such as the PGA Tour and NASCAR are slated to resume competition next month, football and other sports face far more questions given the physical contact that is part of the competition.
