Following the exit of Carter Stanley, there's a serious quarterback battle soon to take place in Lawrence this spring between Kendrick, who played sparingly in 2018, and Thomas MacVittie. You could even throw a potential transfer into the mix after the Jayhawks missed out on Feleipe Franks in an effort to bolster their roster at the position. Last July, MacVittie was battling Stanley for the starting job and had the edge at one point, according to Les Miles. Coaches will know more after spring practice when they've had a chance to evaluate the position over several scrimmages.
