How to Watch: Kansas vs Kentucky

The Jayhawks will try to even their record in the Champions Classic.

Kansas and Kentucky meet up in Indianapolis for an early season clash of blue-bloods in the annual Champions Classic.

Kansas enters the contest with a ranking of #7 by the AP, while Kentucky comes in at #20. KenPom has the Jayhawks at #5 and the generic Wildcats at #21. The preseason conference media poll picked Kentucky to finish 2nd in the 14-team SEC this year.

The Jayhawks and Wildcats have met 32 times previously, with Kentucky having a commanding 23-9 lead. The most recent meeting was a 71-63 Kentucky win in January of 2019 in Rupp Arena, which broke a streak of 3-straight Kansas wins.
