Despite everything else going on in the world, there is a game to be played. The Kansas Jayhawks travel to Norman to face the Oklahoma Sooners, and unlike the current election results being tabulated, the end result of this one is 100% certain.

But they say that HOW you get there is half the fun, so we grabbed our crew to tell you how Kansas is going to get demolished in today’s game.

dnoll5: Mauling. An absolute mauling. Take it from an expert (who has yet to watch a single second of any college football this season) - a mauling it will be. A most efficient mauling. A mauling of such great force and magnitude that we may not see a similar mauling until the next time KU plays a football game. Oklahoma 66, Kansas 10.

Kyle_Davis21: I feel like I continue to give this team too much credit and pick them to just lose by 17 or 21 when it’s usually much worse. And while it’s appealing to think KU could score some points against OU’s defense, I think dnoll5 is right about a mauling. Kansas will likely get some garbage time points, but it won’t be close. Oklahoma 52, Kansas 20

Mike.Plank: Kansas will score first on a 23-yard field goal midway through the first quarter. Jeff Long will immediately tweet “We claim victory in Oklahoma!” Then, after the Sooners rip off nine straight touchdowns, Long will tweet “STOP THE COUNTING.” Finally, after the dust settles and KU is on the buses back to Lawrence, Long will tweet, “Frankly, we did win this game. As far as I’m concerned, we won.” He may also add a final tweet later Saturday night about “a very sad group of people” trying to undermine his administration. Oklahoma 63, Kansas 17.

David: Man, we actually have to play Oklahoma? We’re so bad that actually seems unfair. Like we’re a Big Sky team forced to play all these P5 schools or something. Our only hope here is that Spencer Rattler et al come out flat. They’re favored by 37.5, it’s at home. Maybe they’ll completely overlook us and we can stay within 30 points. But I doubt it. Oklahoma 56, Kansas 10

Fizzle406: Outside of a mass Covid outbreak by OU, Kansas has less than no chance of winning this game. Why are we even flying down there? Give the kids the weekend off. This is stupid. Oklahoma 68, Kansas 0

Andy Mitts: This one is going to be competitive for all of 5 minutes. The Kansas defense is going to find some success, but this team is just a huge step up from anything they’ve seen that it will take some time to figure out how to stop anything OU wants to do. The only way they get a lead in this one is if they return the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Spoiler alert: that won’t happen. Kansas gets a few scores in the second half as the first team is fairly competitive with the Sooner backups, but the talent gap is just too wide. But Lincoln Riley backs off early in the second half so the score doesn’t get too outrageous. Oklahoma 55, Kansas 17.
