Kansas secures 2022 commitment from DB Dewuan Mack Jr.
Kansas has secured a commitment from Lee's Summit (Mo.) North's Dewuan Mack Jr, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back who plays cornerback for North but likely projects to safety at the next level. The Jayhawks only just offered a day ago, but Mack Jr. was ready to make the decision and pulled the trigger.
Kansas offers '23 QB Israel Carter
The Jayhawks also offered junior defensive back Eric Butler. We've said it a ton but Jayhawk LB coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe has been very active in the SoCal region and Kansas has probably offered more California players in the last year then they have the last five years combined.
National Signing Day: Five sneaky good classes
The Aggies are not the only program on this list that has nabbed Texas talent. Bill Self and staff received two Central Texas frontcourt commitments who both have the upside to develop in KJ Adams and Zach Clemence. Adams is a prospect who could potentially thrive in the Jayhawks culture due to his college-ready frame, defensive versatility, physicality, and most importantly his mindset. Most of his success offensively in his high school career has come when operating in the high post. An area of the floor where many of Self’s past four-men have thrived. Clemence will be a terrific floor spacing option at 6-foot-10 that will be hard for defenses to account for.
