While the KU basketball program received much of the headlines from the notice of allegations that was delivered to the University on Monday, the KU football program was also brought up regarding a potential Level II allegation from the David Beaty-era.
University of Kansas acknowledges allegations notice from NCAA
Yahoo Sports first reported on Monday that the Jayhawks had been charged with multiple Level 1 allegations regarding the basketball program, and that the football program had also received notice for Level 2 violations. The University acknowledged the notice applied to both programs and also said it will "fiercly dispute in detail much of what has been presented."
Yahoo report: NCAA charges KU with multiple Level 1 allegations
Yahoo Sports reported on Monday that the Jayhawks had received a notice of allegations from the NCAA. That notice included, according to the report, three Level I violations in men's basketball, a "head coach responsibility charge against coach Bill Self" and a charge of "lack of institutional control," according to multiple Yahoo Sports' sources.
