West Virginia is 2-1 coming off a home win over NC State.

Kansas is coming off a very impressive 48-24 road win at ::checks notes:: yup, Boston College. That actually happened!

West Virginia leads the all-time series with Kansas 7-1, with every meeting but one coming since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12. KU’s lone win in the series was a surprise 31-19 victory in Lawrence back in 2013.

Kansas has not won a conference opener sine 2009 (Iowa State), which was also the last time the Jayhawks began a season 3-1.
