Kansas opens up the Les Miles era with a home game against what looks to be a strong opponent from the FCS level in Indiana State.

Indiana State does have nine FBS wins on its resume, with the biggest one being Louisville in 1984. Most recently, the Sycamores knocked off Ball State in 2014. Last season, ISU played at Louisville, dropping a 31-7 decision to a Cardinals team that would finish just 2-10.

KU and Indiana State have met twice before, with the Jayhawks taking a 37-10 meeting in 1985 and a 20-6 victory in 1986. Both of those matchups were in Lawrence.

Kansas is 72-50-7 all-time in season openers, dating back to 1890.

Here are the essentials:

The Numbers

Indiana State: 0-0, 0-0

Kansas: 0-0, 0-0

Line: OFF (Some places have something between KU -3.5 to -4.5)
