Devon Dotson Returning to Kansas

A good sophomore year should solidify Dotson as a first rounder in next year’s NBA Draft.

It went a little later into the process than I personally thought it would, but Devon Dotson announced via his twitter account that he is returning to Kansas for a second season in Lawrence.

Dotson averaged 12.3 points and 3.5 assists per game. He also shot 53 percent on twos and 36 percent from three, all while being one of the better on-ball defenders in the Big 12.

Personally I think Dotson is in for a huge sophomore season, as he really improved his decision making and his shooting over the course of the season. The big key of course will be how he’s able to work with Udoka Azubuike commanding a lot of attention in the lane as well as whether Kansas will be able to surround him with enough shooters to open things up for him inside.

With a stellar second season, Dotson should solidify himself as a first round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
