Barnes backs up national top-five ranking in EYBL action
As a junior, Barnes helped lead Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School to a 27-5 record and back-to-back FHSAA Class 5A state championships and berths in the GEICO National High School Invitational. Barnes averaged 14.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game as a junior. He was a MaxPreps honorable mention Junior All-American pick.

Kenny Bastida, a linebacker and redshirt freshman with the Jayhawks following the 2018 season, was arrested early Wednesday morning, according to a Douglas County booking log.
