Add Devon Dotson as a “maybe” to the list of Kansas players who won’t be back in a Jayhawk uniform next season.
The full quote from Dotson:
After careful consideration with my family and coaches, I have decided to test the waters and enter into the 2019 NBA Draft process. I feel it’s a great opportunity to obtain feedback from NBA personnel to make fully informed decisions regarding my basketball future.
Based on new rules, I will hire an agent and move forward while retaining my complete college eligibility.
I would like to thank God, my family, Coach Self, the entire coaching staff, and teammates along with the fans of the University of Kansas for their continued support.

Devon Dotson
The sections italicized in the quote above were highlighted by Dotson in his tweet.
With this announcement, Dotson potentially joins Dedric Lawson (NBA Draft), KJ Lawson (transfer), Charlie Moore (transfer), and Quentin Grimes (NBA Draft) as players that won’t return to KU for the 2019-20 campaign. Jayhawk fans continue to wait on news regarding the futures of Udoka Azubuike and Silvio de Sousa.
If Dotson, Azubuike, and de Sousa were all to leave KU, that would leave Bill Self with just four scholarship players from this past season in Mitch Lightfoot, Ochai Agbaji, Marcus Garrett, and David McCormack.
