Self Rumored to be Leaving Kansas

As if this season needed any more uncertainty added to it, throw another curve on the track. On Friday, sports handicapper Brandon Lang said that he had a source telling him that Bill Self will be leaving Lawrence at season's end to become the next coach of the Chicago Bulls. Lang, who was on The Daily Line Podcast, said the following to host Tim Murray:

"The biggest rumor mill that I found out today from a very reliable source, [is] that Bill Self will be leaving Kansas at the end of the year to become the head coach of the Chicago Bulls."

Every once in a while, you'll see this Self-to-the-NBA stories crop up online. Self has been linked to openings in Oklahoma City, Houston, and Cleveland in the past. In my opinion, the best fit for Self in the NBA (if he chooses to leave KU one day) would be taking over for a retiring Gregg Popovich in San Antonio. It will be interesting to see how Self juggles this one more distraction as the Jayhawks head into the NCAA Tournament next week.
