Kansas Jayhawks Basketball Predictions: TCU Horned Frogs

The crew gets together to tell you what is going to happen tonight.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round: Syracuse Orange vs TCU Horned Frogs Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas Jayhawks are on their least offensive trip down to the Lone Star State this year (TCU is actually pretty nice, and the people are usually pretty good), as they look to get a crucial road win against the TCU Horned Frogs tonight. Can Kansas get over their road woes and extend their Big Monday winning streak?

Fizzle406: I can’t bring myself to pick KU in a road game this year. TCU 71, Kansas 65

Kyle_Davis21: I’m more confident today than I have been the past few road games, but I’ve been burned too many times picking KU to win on the road. We’re getting dangerously close to the point of I’ve got to see it to believe it. TCU 72, Kansas 71

Mike.Plank: The line is anywhere from TCU -2.5 to TCU -3.5. Looking at the Frogs’ schedule so far, that actually probably seems about right. They narrowly survived Oklahoma State a week ago, but then smoked Iowa State in Ames on Saturday. Considering KU’s struggles on the road, TCU looks like a team that’s ready to pounce. Stick a nail in 15-straight… TCU 75, Kansas 62.

dnoll5: Lately, I’ve tried to be the bright spot in these prediction posts, but I just can’t do it this time. This team has failed to show up on the road this year, and I doubt that it starts tonight. That said, maybe TCU used it all up in their weekend win against the Hawkeyes. You never know, but at this point, I’m just not confident in the fact that KU can get it done away from Allen. TCU 77,Kansas 72.

David: Bill Self is still Bill Self and this is a KU team with their back against the wall. I’m admittedly going against my rational side here but I think we win. Kansas 75, TCU 71

Andy Mitts: I want to pick the Jayhawks, especially after watching Mitch Lightfoot make this dagger from half court in practice, but like I said on the podcast, I have a hard time shaking the feeling that a random TCU guy is going to go off from 3, and Kansas is going to have too much trouble getting the offense going. Ochai Agbaji and Dedric Lawson are the only two scoring threats tonight, and the Horned Frogs get a huge victory at home. TCU 78, Kansas 76.
