The Kansas Jayhawks are the Maui Invitational Champs after defeating the upstart Dayton Flyers in overtime, 90-84.
It didn't look like overtime would be necessary as Kansas held a 73-70 lead with the seconds ticking down, but Jalen Crutcher knocked down a three to tie, and Isaiah Moss' half court heave was barely off line. Udoka Azubuike went to work in overtime, keeping the Jayhawks ahead. He would end up fouling out, but not before scoring a career high 29. Kansas built up a five point lead and was able to hit enough free throws down the stretch to salt it away.
Though Dok was the overtime star, Devon Dotson put on a show with some career highs of his own. Dotson finished with 36 points, six rebounds, four assists and five steals.
The team will now head back to Lawrence for Thanksgiving and get a nice break before playing another tough opponent in 21st ranked Colorado on December 7th.
