Kansas Jayhawks Football Predictions: Oklahoma State Cowboys

Our staff gets together to tell you what's going to happen today.

NCAA Football: Texas Tech at Oklahoma State Brett Rojo-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas Jayhawks travel to Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Les Miles is returning to his old stomping grounds, hoping to lead this team to another big upset this season.

Can they pull it off? Take a look at what our staff thinks and then let us know in the comments below.

dnoll5: I was listening to the radio on the way home from work the other day and Soren Petro had some guy on there who was an “expert” at picking games and this guy also happened to be from Oklahoma. Not sure if that was just a coincidence, but I think it is as I believe him to be a semi-regular guest. Anyway, he grew up with Mike Gundy and he believes that Gundy will do whatever it takes to destroy Les Miles in this one. He expected OSU to obliterate the spread. I’m taking all that with a grain of salt, but I still say KU loses this one away from home. Oklahoma State 40, Kansas 28.

Kyle_Davis21: I can’t imagine the Kansas offense looks as bad as it did in the Sunflower Showdown, especially since the last time an OSU opponent scored less than 27 points was in September. And the last time the Jayhawks had 14 days to prepare, they nearly took down Texas in Austin. So, I guess what I’m saying is I think KU will once again keep themselves in the game, which is a big improvement from last year. But I’m not ready to call a victory. Oklahoma State 38, Kansas 31

David: With a week off, I think Dearmon will have addressed some of what went so horribly wrong against K-State. But that won’t do anything to stop Chuba Hubbard from running up and down the field at will. Oklahoma State 48, Kansas 24

Fizzle406: I expect a mauling. They will maul us like we’ve never been mauled before. Oklahoma State 45, Kansas 20

Andy: The Jayhawks have all the tools to get their offense going this week. The bye week gave Been Dearmon and company plenty of time to figure out how to deal with disguised coverages. And Oklahoma State isn't nearly as effective on both sides of the line. Ultimately, I'm not sure how the Jayhawks will deal with Chuba Hubbard, so it's going to be tough to pull off the win. Kyle stole my score. Oklahoma State 38, Kansas 31
