It’s officially basketball season in Lawrence as exhibition play returns to Allen Fieldhouse where your Kansas Jayhawks welcome in Fort Hays State.
This is the season opener for both squads. Kansas is ranked #3 in the AP top-25 and was a near-unanimous choice to win the Big 12.
Fort Hays was picked to finish fourth in the MIAA in both the preseason Coaches and Media polls. The Tigers return just two starters and four letterwinners from last year’s 18-11 team, but no doubt they are a scrappy opponent from D2 who will really push the Jayhawks.
Here are the essentials:
The Numbers
Fort Hays State: 0-0, 0-0
