FanPulse Top 25 Week 8: Humility At The Top

I’m shocked at the fanbase that weren’t total homers this week.

It's that time again. Time for the latest edition of the SB Nation CFB Top 25. It's still possible to sign up and let your voice be heard.

The first part of the FanPulse survey was the approval rating for the Kansas Jayhawks. Our rating dropped again, from 88% to 86%. Our responses went up as well, so if it weren’t for some technical delays, we would have a graphic for you. I’ll add it once it becomes available.

Disagree with that assessment of the program? Then sign up for the survey, and you can join in determining that percentage for next week.

This week's question asked which game you are most excited for. The results are below:

  1. Auburn at LSU 38.9%
  2. Wisconsin at Ohio State 34.9%
  3. Notre Dame at Michigan 13.7%
  4. North Dakota State at South Dakota State 5.5%
  5. Washington State at Oregon 4.5%
  6. Penn State at Michigan State 3.5%
  7. Texas Tech at Kansas 0.01%

Ok fine, that last one was a write-in ballot on my part.

And now, without further ado, here are the rankings after Week 8.

Other teams receiving votes: Iowa, Memphis

My only complaints about this poll is with a few positions, such as Baylor should probably be above Texas and Oklahoma should be above Clemson. Also, I’m surprised that Memphis didn’t get into the poll. I think they could have been in above any of the teams 22 and below.

As a reminder, once we reach 50 sign ups, we’ll get our own version of the Top 25.

Until we have enough people signed up to get our own poll, I'll look for one other fanbase to highlight. I'm a bit partial to fans that are fairly reasonable, so I went in search of a fanbase that ranked their own team lower than the national ranking. I found a shocking one right at the top of the poll. I’ve always thought of Alabama fans as an extremely arrogant bunch, so imagine my surprise when I saw that the fans of #1 Alabama over at Roll ‘Bama Roll only ranked them at #3.

So, congrats on not being total homers!

These rankings will be updated every week, and it isn't too late to be a part of them. Sign up here!
