Former KU star Svi Mykhailiuk drained 20 straight three-point shots at Lakers practice
Mykhailiuk, who was the 47th overall pick in the NBA Draft, made 20 straight three-point attempts in the video below. Yeah, it’s just practice, but it was still an impressive feat by the former Jayhawk.

How an accident — and a play six years in the making — helped KU reach the Final Four
On Jan. 16, 2012 — in a game at Allen Fieldhouse between third-ranked Baylor and seventh-ranked KU — the Jayhawks’ first opportunity for a set play came after the under-16-minute media timeout. Robinson cut to the basket, Withey shuffled into Baylor’s Cory Jefferson to throw the equivalent of a football block and Johnson fired a pass to the lane. A second later, Robinson finished with a two-handed slam. (Ed note - Jesse really knocks this one out of the park)

Self, Martin, Richardson, Weber support ‘real heroes’ at Coaches vs. Cancer event
“I like doing this,” Self said. “We’ve got a lot going on right now. There are certainly other places I could be with five recruits flying in right now,” added Self, whose KU program plays host to the 34th-annual Late Night in the Phog on Friday night.

“I’m blown away by it every year,” said Roberts in a recent interview with the Journal-World. “But my first year, I just remember I kept saying, ‘Is anybody going to come?’ And they were like, ‘Will you just relax? Yes. They’ll come.’”

New to position, Hasan Defense resolved to improve as safety | KUsports.com
Sure, the University of Kansas junior made eight total tackles, the third-most on the team, during a loss at Baylor. But ask the man whose previous 11 starts at the FBS level came at cornerback to assess his impact as a safety this past weekend and “all right” is as close to glowing as he will venture.

You've seen the Mitch Lightfoot picture: Here's the backstory...
“I think when I realized it was during the tournament last year when we were playing against some of bigger guys like Seton Hall with [Angel] Delgado and guys like that," Lightfoot said of transforming his body. “I kind of realized at that point of time that where I was at wasn’t going to get me where I wanted to be, and so I just needed to eat a lot and continue to get after it in the weight room.”

Lakers' LeBron James has high praise for 'great' Svi Mykhailiuk
"He's great. He doesn't say anything, and he works his butt off," James said via Harrison Faigen, Lakers expert and insider at Silver Screen and Roll. "He comes in, puts in his work. He's one of the first ones on the court, obviously, because he has to be, he's a rookie. He's one of the last ones to leave the floor, obviously, because he has to be, because he's a rookie. But he can shoot the peel off the ball, man."

Q&A: LB Joe Dineen talks Oklahoma State, Jayhawks' defense
"I think it’s about the same from what I’ve noticed so far, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to get quicker. Oklahoma State is known for going really fast and so is the Big 12. We’ll just have to wait and see. I can’t base it off of that Baylor game."

Film room: Analyzing KU's rushing performance against Baylor
In Kansas’ 26-7 loss to Baylor, the Jayhawks' once prolific rushing attack was brought to a halt by the Bears' game plan.

2018 Ryder Cup results: Highlights of how the USA took a lead while you were sleeping - SBNation.com
The Ryder Cup is the best. It’s the best for so many reasons but Friday morning I was reminded that one of them is how much things change in just minutes. Golf is a slow sport, but the fickleness of match play can make a Ryder Cup session feel like it’s moving as fast as a Golden State Warriors 3-point run that puts you 20 points down in a matter of minutes.

MLB Season Recap: The best and worst moments from the season - SBNation.com
We’re revisiting all of the best and worst things that appeared in Mound Visits this year, which means that if it didn’t appear in this column at some point over the past six months then it’s not eligible for these “awards.” If it got a mention but it wasn’t its own item in a weekly rundown, I allowed it to be a candidate for these completely random categories I came up with on the fly. It was a long season! What do you want, science?

Tristan Thompson sees LeBron-less Cavs as still the team to beat in East
"We're still four-time Eastern Conference champions, so until you take us down from that, teams ain't got much to say. Boston, Philly, they ain't got much to say," Thompson told reporters on Thursday. "Boston had homecourt Game 7 and lost. Philly, you guys almost got swept. Toronto -- we already know that story. So until someone takes us down, there's not much they can really say."
