KU Jayhawks vs. Rutgers football: Prediction, TV, game time | The Kansas City Star
A few weeks ago, I had the Jayhawks winning a close one here, and I don’t see any reason to go away from that pick. One thing that needs adjusting, though, is the score projection. Both teams, on a play-by-play basis, have shown to be much better on defense than offense this year, so expect lots of punts and few scoring opportunities.
Hagan’s hat trick hoists No. 18 Jayhawks over Saint Louis, 3-2 - Kansas Jayhawks
Despite being faced with an early 2-0 deficit, senior forward Grace Hagan's first-career hat trick powered the No. 18 Kansas Jayhawks to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Saint Louis Billikens Friday night at Rock Chalk Park.
Rutgers vs. Kansas: Who has the edge?
This weekend marks game No.3 for Rutgers as the Scarlet Knights will take to the road to face Kansas. Both teams are 1-1 heading into this matchup. Kansas bounced back from a 26-23 opening day lost to FCS Nicholls State last week as the Jayhawks cruised to a 31-7 win over Central Michigan. Rutgers opened up with a convincing 35-7 win over Texas State, only to be throttled last week 52-3 by a No.4-ranked Ohio State team. This contest looks to be a measuring stick for both teams as a full slate of conference opponents looms right around the corner.
A story about about Todd Reesing, Baker Mayfield and KU football
By now you've seen the ridiculous highlight reel circulating the web. On one play, he was drilled so hard by a defender from Nebraska that he can't remember how it all happened in real life, yet in the moment he stayed on his feet and delivered a strike for a touchdown.
Swain: KU's run game integral for competitive 2018 season
When David Beaty became KU football’s head coach, the plan was to spread things out and run the Air Raid. Three seasons and 33 losses later, Beaty made an interesting proclamation in the buildup to the 2018 season that the Jayhawks would run the ball more.
Notes: Winning two straight, Reesing's thoughts on KU, Pooka
The KU football team has a chance to set a couple firsts for David Beaty in his time at the helm of the program. Should the Jayhawks win, the team will improve to 2-1 heading into conference play for the first time since 2014 — Charlie Weis' last year as head coach.
Rutgers right opponent at right time for Kansas | Lunch Break | KUsports.com
Second-year Texas coach Tom Herman received kudos for landing the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class. That’s nice, but what does that have to do with 2018? This isn’t basketball where a few McDonald’s All-Americans can carry the team to great heights. Rare is the true freshman (Pooka Williams) who can make a major impact, which brings us to Rutgers.

Kansas (1-1) notched a 31-7 victory at Central Michigan last weekend, and returns home for the final contest before Big 12 play. Rutgers (1-1) is coming off a 52-3 loss at Ohio State, but the team did win the season opener with a 35-7 victory over Texas State.
KU's athletic director wants to build up football program, 'dig out of hole,' before tackling stadium | KUsports.com
Just six weeks after coming on staff as athletic director at the University of Kansas, Jeff Long is saying that building up the football program should take precedence over a multimillion-dollar remodel of the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
Gameday Breakdown: KU football vs. Rutgers | KUsports.com
Considering a program that spent nine years always losing in games outside of Lawrence actually won on the road in Week 2, Kansas should stick with what worked in its victory at Central Michigan. The Jayhawks’ rushing attack — and freshman back Pooka Williams in particular — made snapping a 46-game road losing skid possible.
'Do you think I can play or not?': Once disregarded, QB Todd Reesing joining KU Ring of Honor | KUsports.com
The mobile but undersized gunslinger was the 4A Player of the Year as a junior and Central Texas Player of the Year as a senior. But as he pitched his highlight footage to various high-major programs it seemed Reesing kept hearing the same types of lines.

USC vs. Texas: 2006 Rose Bowl was a generation’s most important game - SBNation.com
What is it about the 2006 Rose Bowl that still captures our attention over a decade after Vince Young crossed that cardinal-painted end zone into history? If you catch it on TV, especially in the dead of the offseason, you probably won’t change the channel until it’s over, even though you know the ending — and even though you remember exactly where you were when it happened. How could you?
2019 NBA All-Stars: 5 most likely players to make the team for the 1st time - SBNation.com
Every year, there are first-time NBA All-Stars. Some of these players, like the Anthony Davises and Karl-Anthony Townses of the past, are those destined for greatness that just require a little seasoning and growth before reaching that level. Some, like Victor Oladipo and Kemba Walker, grind for years until the stars align. Some (who will go unnamed) find themselves the beneficiaries of good timing and other players’ unavailability.

“Mr. Brightside” refuses to leave the charts and we demand to know why
How did it end up like this? The Killer’s debut single “Mr. Brightside” was the inescapable rock hit of 2004 and yet, in the 14 years since its release, the song has rarely been off the top 100 singles chart. In recent years, numerous publications have launched investigations into exactly what the fuck is happening here, but so far none have come to a satisfying conclusion. In his latest video, YouTube music analyst Middle 8 tries his hand at solving the riddle of “Mr. Brightside” by tracing the story back to the song’s inception.
Terrible rap beef somehow produces non-terrible diss track
2018 is proving to be a profitable year for the diss track. Pusha T’s “The Story Of Adidon” set the high bar, obviously, but there’s been a lot of them, a surprising number somehow related to aging Venom rapper Eminem. Earlier this month, the Detroit rapper kicked a hornet’s nest of vaguely apathetic hornets with his new album Kamikaze, dropping a few bars about fellow Midwestern rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and acknowledging a tepid feud between the two men that seems to have stemmed from comments Kelly made online about Eminem’s then-teenage daughter. (Or possibly Kelly’s belief that Eminem shut him out of “the industry”—it’s a real “he said, he said” of angry rapping white dudes with unappealing hair.)

America's Top Nazi Sued Warner Bros. for Libel in 1939 Because He Didn't Like the Movie Confessions of a Nazi Spy
Believe it or not, anti-Nazi movies were highly controversial in Hollywood during the 1930s. There were a number of reasons, from fears of alienating a huge market for movies in Germany to the fact that Will Hays, the industry’s top censor, had to listen to German government officials who complained anytime Germans were depicted negatively on film. But Warner Bros. was able to get Confessions of a Nazi Spy made in 1939, largely because it was based on a real case of espionage brought by the FBI.
