In a matter of hours the Jayhawks will officially begin the 2018 season, with kickoff scheduled at 6 p.m. for the season opener against Nicholls State. As of Friday, the Jayhawks were still more than a touchdown favorite to get the win in newly-renamed David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. But the sense heading into the game seems to be that Nicholls State is a talented FCS squad who could pose KU some problems.
