Kansas Jayhawks Football vs Nicholls State Colonels Open Game Thread

Year four of the David Beaty era opens with Kansas hosting #17 FCS Nicholls State. The Colonels are looking for their third FBS win and first over a P5 team, while KU is looking to shed the stigma of being a national punchline.

This is the season opener for both squads. KU went 1-11 in 2017, while Nicholls was 8-4, bowing out in the first round of the FCS playoffs.

This is the first meeting between these two schools.

KU will induct Chris Harris Jr. into the Ring of Honor at Memorial Stadium, and will honor the 2008 Insight Bowl team during the game as well.
