We’ve counted down 100 days until today, finally, gameday, and the first game of the 2018 season. Will it be David Beaty’s last home opener at Kansas? Let’s face it, the wins just haven’t been there, with David Beaty still in search of his second win over an FBS team.
He won’t get it today, though, because KU is not facing an FBS opponent. Nope, today the Colonels of Nicholls State are in town. You can read more about them here, but long story short, they’re an up-and-coming program at the FCS level and will no doubt be looking for their first P5 win after near misses the last two years against Texas A&M and Georgia. (They have defeated Rice and Arkansas State in the past.)
Here are the essentials:
The Numbers
Nicholls State: 0-0, 0-0
Kansas: 0-0, 0-0
