Kansas sophomore Udoka Azubuike is declaring for the NBA Draft without an agent.
Azubuike was a third team All-Big 12 selection this season (although he was a 2nd teamer on the most important list of all). He led the country in 2-point shooting at 77 percent and made big strides as both a defender and rebounder as the season went along.
In terms of his NBA future, his first step is probably being able to play longer periods of time both due to fouls and being in shape. He needs to improve as a shooter, as his 41 percent mark from the line would suggest, but I think the NBA is the place to fix that for the most part.
I also think because of the way he can move his feet in short bursts, he could be an intriguing second round guy this year, but probably is more suited to get drafted next year after another good season at Kansas and in a not as good draft.
Azubuike has until May 30 to make a final decision.
