The Kansas Jayhawks head to Stillwater to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a game that is largely meaningless to them, but is probably important if they are set on getting a 1 seed. But does that really matter, or will Oklahoma State pick up a big win to stay on the bubble for the NCAA tournament?
David: There’s no way this game won’t be way too close for comfort. I’d pick KU to lose given the situation, except I can’t see this OSU team being the one that finally sweeps Bill Self. Kansas 74, Oklahoma State 72
Mike.Plank: Well I don’t know what the refs are gonna do about this one now that KU has the title wrapped up. I do know that Self doesn’t like to beat OSU in Stillwater. I’m not sure what his record is @ OSU but it isn’t good, at least not by Self standards. KU says they still have #Motivation in the form of a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament. That’s great, but I’m not sure I believe them, and I’m pretty sure I don’t really care about the outcome of this game (or next weekend in KC). Hell, I probably won’t even watch this one! Sunny and 60 degrees? I think I’ll enjoy the afternoon instead of sitting on the edge of my seat worrying about a meaningless game while praying Devonte doesn’t blow an ACL. Oklahoma State 85, Kansas 75.
dnoll5: I have no cares to give about this game. None. When does it start? I have no idea. To be honest, I’ll probably be drinking beer somewhere and watching this game all the while thinking if anyone would be interested in an article called “Player Ratings to the Theme of Beers I just Drank”. People are probably less interested in that than this game, but it’s close. Anyway, Kansas 88, Oklahoma State 85.
Fizzle406: The Big 12 is wrapped up so this game is meaningless. I am so confident of a Kansas loss that I am going to the bank before the game to mortgage my house and drain my retirement and savings to put on Oklahoma State. Kansas has a 0% chance of winning. Book it and write it in stone. Oklahoma State 88, Kansas 70
Kyle_Davis21: Oklahoma State is not a good shooting team (ninth in the Big 12 in 2-point percentage and sixth in 3-point percentage), turns the ball over a lot (eighth in the league) and doesn’t share it well (eighth in assists). The Cowboys won at AFH by shooting way above its averages and with KU showing little to no effort. Self will be motivated to win Saturday, as the Jayhawks are playing for a one seed and it’s his alma mater, and Devonte’ is playing for a spot on the All-America teams. Kansas doesn’t usually win in Stillwater, but they also haven’t historically won in Morgantown and we know what happened there in January. I’m staying stubborn in my stance that I won’t pick a team to sweep Self’s Jayhawks until it happens. Kansas 77, Oklahoma State 74
Andy Mitts: I really don’t care about the outcome of this game, although if I’m honest with myself I think Oklahoma State having a chance to get close to an NCAA appearance and giving the Big 12 the potential for maybe 9 teams in the tournament. But ultimately, I think that Bill Self and this Kansas team are too competitive to just let this one go. It will be close, but the Jayhawks pull out the win to stay in the race for a top seed. Kansas 82, Oklahoma State 77.
