The Kansas Jayhawks have appeared in 46 total NCAA Tournaments, including 28 in a row (about to be 29). In fact, the last time KU did not go dancing, “Lost in Your Eyes” by Debbie Gibson was the #1 song and “Lean on Me” was the #1 movie in theaters.
Those dark, dark days are better known as March of 1989.
Anyway, Kansas has seen 14 Finals Fours and won three championships while compiling an overall 103-45 record. In his career, Bill Self is 42-17 in the Tournament, 32-12 while at Kansas.

Kansas Bracketology
CBSSports has KU as the 1-seed in the Midwest Region against 16 Georgia State. The second round would see KU pitted against 8 Providence or 9 NC State.
ESPN has KU as the 1-seed in the Midwest Region against 16 UMBC. The second round would see either 8 Butler or 9 NC State.
SBNation has KU as the 1-seed in the Midwest Region against 16 Cal State Fullerton, with the winner taking on either 8 Missouri or 9 Butler.
NBCSports has KU as the 1-seed in the Midwest Region against 16 UMBC, with the winner getting either 8 Missouri or 9 NC State.
Let me be the first to say that if Missouri gets rewarded for having a thoroughly mediocre season with a first round game in Wichita and a potential second round matchup versus Kansas, the selection committee has completely failed.
Discussion Points
Use this thread to talk about the draw, the regional, and the tournament as a whole. Once the brackets are out, consider the following questions:
How far will the Jayhawks advance? What do you like about our draw? What do you hate about our draw?
How many Sweet 16 teams will the Big 12 get?
How many #1 seeds will make the Final Four?
Who is over-seeded?
Who is under-seeded?
What’s your first-round upset special? Too bad Norfolk State isn’t likely to be selected.
Who’s your Cinderella?
