Kansas and West Virginia square off in Sprint Center for the Big 12 Tournament title.
KU may have seeding implications in this game; A Big 12 Tournament Title combined with losses last night from Xavier and Duke could combine to get KU into either the Midwest or South Regions. As for West Virginia, I really don’t have any idea where they’re slated to be seeded or if this game really matters for them (and I don’t care enough to look it up).
Kansas is ranked #9 in the AP Poll and is coming off an 83-67 Big 12 Tournament win over Kansas State.
West Virginia is ranked #18; the ‘Eers are coming off a 66-63 win vs Texas Tech in the other Big 12 Tournament semifinal.
Kansas swept West Virginia in regular season series, taking a close 71-66 game in Morgantown and a 77-69 affair in Lawrence.
Here are the essentials:
The Numbers
#9 Kansas: 26-7, 13-5
vs #18 West Virginia: 24-9, 11-7
Line: Kansas -1
