Notebook: National signing day rears its ugly head in Lawrence

So today is the traditional national signing day. Most of KU’s class signed back in December. If you want to check out some highlights, you can check out Benton Smith (KUSports) update here. We are also “covering” it here, but mostly I just complain about all of the juco recruits.

The highest rated football recruit (in the history of recruiting rankings) at Kansas, Corione Harris, graduated high school early and is already enrolled and on campus at KU. He is excited to join former high school teammate Mike Lee in KU’s secondary.

Beaty is one of the more outspoken proponents of the early signing period.
