Kansas (23-6, 12-4) is currently ranked #6 in the AP Poll.
Texas (17-12, 7-9) comes in unranked.
The Longhorns are coached by Shaka Smart, who is 48-47 in his third year in Austin.
I mean, seriously? Dude is a game over .500? In three years? At that school with those facilities and that money? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I digress. Not-so-Smart is 211-103 overall as a head coach in nine seasons.
Actually, I take that back. Only a smart man could steal $3 MILLION per YEAR from Texas and get away with it for this long. Standard reminder that Shaka has won the same number of regular season conference titles in his career as you and me combined.
Anyway, Kansas won the first matchup with Texas in Austin back on December 29, a 92-86 shootout. The Jayhawks lead the all-time series against the Longhorns, 30-8. KU has won six straight in this series, 13 of 14, and 16 of 18. It’s embarrassing, really. It’s so K-State like its comical. KU is 13-1 in Allen Fieldhouse all-time vs Texas.
