Miles zeroing in on DC hire?

One report out there says DJ Eliot will be KU’s new defensive coordinator.

NCAA Football: Kansas at Texas Tech Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

FootballScoop.com put out a report on Sunday saying that “sources” expect DJ Eliot to be named the defensive coordinator at Kansas on Monday. (Hopefully that’s a good enough out for Mr. Tait.)

The Denver Post has kinda confirmed the news, saying that Eliot will be named the DC at either Georgia Tech, KU, or Maryland on Monday.

Eliot, 42, played at Wyoming and was most recently the DC for Colorado from 2017-18. Prior to CU, he was the DC at Kentucky from 2013-16.

Colorado ranked #64 in Defensive S&P+ for 2018 after ranking #98 in 2017.

During his tenure at Kentucky, his D-S&P+, his teams ranked 71, 50, 68, and #83 in his final year in Lexington.
