Second-half surge helps Kansas run past Wofford, 72-47 - University of Kansas Athletics
The combo of freshman Devon Dotson, redshirt-junior Dedric Lawson, and a 27-0 second-half run proved to be too much for Wofford as the No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks claimed a 72-47 win over the Terriers Tuesday night inside Allen Fieldhouse. With Wofford coming into the game averaging 11 3-pointers per game, some stout Jayhawk defense helped close out on the perimeter, leading to the Terriers to a 3-of-23 clip from beyond the arc, a season low.

Jayhawks down Wofford on night Udoka Azubuike leaves game with ankle sprain
“The concern is Udoka, his health. He sprained it pretty good,” KU coach Bill Self said after the game, KU’s seventh victory in as many tries. “X-rays are negative. But he’ll be out. When I say ‘out,’ not ‘day to day.’ It’ll be a while. Hopefully we’ll have him back healthy before Christmas. We don’t know that to be the case. We’ll have to wait and see, see how the swelling goes.

Attacking mentality, film session help Quentin Grimes snap slump
The play capped off a stretch of seven straight points from Grimes. It also represented a switch flipping for Grimes to a more aggressive mindset in the second half of KU’s 72-47 win over Wofford. After struggling for the better part of a month, Grimes finished with 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting, adding three rebounds and an assist in the win.
