In the hubbub of the first day of the early signing period, Kansas announced that Les Miles had completed his staff of on-field assistant coaches.
Here’s a quick look at the changes in the coaching staff from 2018 to 2019:

KUSports.com is reporting that Miles isn’t expected to retain Justin Johnson, Bill Miller, Kenny Perry, A.J. Ricker, Jesse Williams, or former KU player Cassius Sendish in any capacity. I have not seen whether or not Strength and Conditioning coach Zac Woodfin will return.
Clint Bowen has a contract that runs through December of 2019, while Tony Hull’s contract runs through February of 2020. Neither have signed an extension, and both would be expensive to let go at this point in time.
That said, I am of the mindset that Tony Hull has earned his position on this staff as the lead recruiter for guys like Mike Lee, Corione Harris, and Pooka Williams. With Les Miles in his corner, I am even more hopeful of big things on the recruiting front for Coach Hull.
According to every beat writer covering this team, Les Miles has been phenomenal with his energy and passion in recruiting to KU football. It will (hopefully) be exciting to see what this staff can do with a full year on the recruiting trail.
