Thomas MacVittie, the #1-rated Juco QB in the class of 2019, is now a verbal commit to Les Miles and Kansas.
MacVittie will come to KU from Mesa College in Arizona, the same place current KU CB Shakial Taylor played. The 6’5”, 225 lb QB was a four-star recruit and top-100 player out of high school who originally committed to play at Pitt. He redshirted his freshman year and transferred to Juco after his second year after playing sparingly on special teams.
He only took two visits this fall, one to Vanderbilt and one to Kansas. North Carolina, Washington State, and Wyoming also reportedly had interest in MacVittie.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
MacVittie joins SR Carter Stanley, JR Miles Kendrick, SO Miles Fallin, and SO Billy Maples as quarterbacks on the 2019 roster.
