It’s Senior Day, and the Kansas Jayhawks are hosting the Texas Longhorns in what should be an emotional game for the guys in blue. Will Kansas get a bump from it all, or is Texas too good for it to matter?
Mike.Plank: This will be just me first impression of the game, as I haven’t looked at any of the numbers yet - not that it did me any good least week. As great as it would be if David Beaty finished his term 2-2 versus Texas, I’m just not sure the Jayhawks have six more turnovers in them to make that a reality. A rainy day should slow the Longhorns down a bit, but will likely do the same for Kansas. Texas 24, Kansas 13.
David: At some point in this game, David Beaty will punt on 4th and short in Texas territory. Texas 31, Kansas 17
Fizzle406: The David Beaty era will end as it started, by losing. Texas 39, Kansas 12
Kyle_Davis21: The seniors will put up a decent fight, but it feels like Texas will be too much to win twice in a row at home. Texas 31, Kansas 20
Andy Mitts: It’s time to get crazy guys. This is going to be a crazy emotional day for these seniors, and while the K-State game might say otherwise, this team overall seems to play a bit better when they are amped up. Add in the uncertainty with the injury situation for Sam Ehlinger, and I think the Jayhawks can get to the QB and cause a few turnovers. The Jayhawks make the night game so much less important by stealing a victory in David Beaty’s final game. Kansas 34, Texas 31.
